In case you missed it this weekend:
Last week the web was abuzzed with Drake stepping to the forefront of keeping R&B soultress Aaliyah alive. His love (some would say obsession) has not only led him to get her likeness tattooed on his body but also led him to create a collaboration with the singer and has had him seek to executive produce a posthumous album to Aaliyah.
Drake's love has run so deep that it has left many with questions about how Drake exactly gained access and clearance to her records. Timbaland already shared his own thought about this collaboration and work: Back in April, he told the Breakfast Club, 'If [Drake] do it, it should be with me and him and Missy. The best decision what the fans would want to see is all three of us. It can’t be something to make money off of because I think it’s wrong to make money off the dead.
It looks if permission has already been exchanged, since the artwork includes Aaliyah’s label’s logo (which is ran by her uncle/manager Barry), he more than likely gave Drake his blessings.
