Police in Canada say two men have been arrested and charged with plotting a terrorist attack against a Canadian passenger train.

The CBC reports the train was set to travel between Toronto and New York City.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police said Monday that Chiheb Esseghaier and Raed Jaser were conspiring to carry out an al-Qaida supported attack against Via Rail, but posed no imminent threat.

The investigation was part of a cross-border operation involving Canadian law enforcement agencies, the FBI and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Two Explosions at Boston Marathon Finish Line

Two explosions at the finish line of the Boston Marathon have resulted in injuries.

Bloody spectators were being carried Monday to the medical tent that had been set up to care for fatigued runners. Police wove through competitors as they ran back toward the course.

"There are a lot of people down," said one man, whose bib No. 17528 identified him as Frank Deruyter of North Carolina. He was not injured, but marathon workers were carrying one woman, who did not appear to be a runner, to the medical area as blood gushed from her leg. A Boston police officer was wheeled from the course with a leg injury that was bleeding.

About three hours after the winners crossed the line, there was a loud explosion on the north side of Boylston Street, just before the photo bridge that marks the finish line. Another explosion could be heard a few seconds later.

Beyoncé lip-synced 'The Star Spangled Banner,' Marine Corps Band says

Halfway through her rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner" at President Barack Obama's inauguration on Monday, Beyonce dramatically did away with the earpiece that singers use to hear themselves and their bands in a live setting.

One viewer likened it to the gutsy move Luke Skywalker made in the dramatic chase scene in the original "Star Wars," tweeting: "Taking out the earpiece is Luke turning off the targeting system in the Death Star trench."

But now a rep for the United States Marine Band says Beyonce was not even singing the song live.

She was lip-syncing.

The rep said that the multi-platinum singer decided to perform to a pre-recorded track at the last minute.

“All music is pre-recorded for the ceremony because there are so many eventualities and conditions that day,” Kristin DuBois told The Post. “We performed, live, the band. But we received last-minute word that Beyonce was going to use the pre-recorded vocal track. Those were the instructions we were given. We don’t know what the reason why.”

Sources also tell Fox News that Beyonce was a no-show at the inauguration performance rehearsal on the Capitol steps.

Eighteen-month-old Monica Renee Laminack was mauled in the yard Wednesday evening by dogs her family owned.

A Georgia sheriff says seven dogs fatally mauled a toddler in her backyard as the attack went unnoticed by the girl's mother and other adults inside the house until it was too late.

Bryan County Sheriff Clyde Smith said Thursday that Monica Renee Laminack, who would have turned 2 years old in June, slipped out a dog door and into the fenced-in yard where she was attacked. He says by the time the child's grandmother heard the dogs barking and looked outside, the girl was dead and her clothes were in shreds all over the yard.

Authorities say the dogs were pit bulls and pit bull mixes. Animal Control officers euthanized them after the attack Wednesday night.

The sheriff says authorities are considering criminal charges, but none has been filed.

Remember Duct Tape Daddy Andre Curry?

A Chicago judge ruled that a dad convicted of aggravated battery for binding his 18-month old daughter with tape and taping her mouth shut will not have to go to prison, but serve probation instead.

Andre Curry, 22, was ordered to serve 18 months probation, undergo parenting classes and submit to periodic drug tests.

Curry was arrested in December 2011 after posting a photo of the little girl on Facebook with the caption: "This is wut happens wen my baby hits me back ; )."

He was convicted in November of aggravated domestic battery and aggravated battery, and faced up to seven years in prison.

Curry has no prior criminal record and his lawyer convinced the judge to reconsider the felony conviction, dropping the charges to a misdemeanor.
