Lawsuit against Bishop Eddie Long Resolved

It appears that a resolution of some sort has been made in the sexual abuse case against Bishop Eddie Long in Atlanta, GA.  As was stated by the lawyer representing the four young men who claimed Bishop Eddie Long had sexually abused them during their time of attendance at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church.

In September of 2010, Bishop Eddie Long had been put in the limelight not for his work with the church, but for his illicit behavior behind the scenes.  According to the four young men, Long "abused his spiritual authority" by engaging in inappropriate sexual acts with minors and young men of the church as well as luring them into sexual behavior via gifts, money, cars, jewelry and more.

At this time the case is still pending until this settlement has been approved.

It is a shame that such behind closed doors behavior had to occur.  From what has been represented, this appears to be another form of mental abuse and bribery yet again.  I hope that once this settlement negotiations settle, that the trial can garner some form of justice and accountability. No, a public display is not needed, but neither is hush hush secret meetings that only continue to make things look bad.  I pray for everyone, including the "good" Bishop and may we be more aware about who we surround our children with and who we invest our support in.<

So-Called Mother Tries To Sell Daughter's V-Card!

This mother needs to be flogged within an inch of her life!

A sick Salt Lake City mom tried to sell her 13-year-old daughter’s virginity to a man for $10,000, cops said.

The woman, Felicia Rae McClure, 32, was busted by her boyfriend on May 18 after he allegedly spotted several texts on her cell phone discussing the deal with a man named "Don".

Cops said that "Don" took McClure and her daughter to Victoria’s Secret to buy lingerie, and that mom and daughter posed for pictures in bras and thongs.

She also sent the pics to other men for money, cops said.

Authorities say the girl agreed to the sex, but later changed her mind.

McClure was charged with two counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child and two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. Bail was set at $250,000.

She is just disgusting! I hope she is NEVER allowed to breed again!

Michael Steele To Join MSNBC As A Political Analyst

This definitely belongs in the world of weird news:

After talks with CNN and Fox News, the former head of the Republican National Committee, Michael Steele, has just teamed up with MSNBC instead, as a political analyst — effective immediately.

Steele, a frequent guest on MSNBC, will appear regularly as part of the network’s analysts and contributors, according to a network news release.

The former RNC head, lost popularity with Conservatives, most of which make up Fox’s audience. Instead of venturing into Republican campaign headquarters, Fox News, he’s going the ‘Lean forward’ route.

In a statement, Steele said:

It’s an honor to contribute and engage in the dialogue on MSNBC…I look forward to engaging a diverse audience to share insights and analysis about the people, issues, and events shaping America’s future. I’m sure our discussions will be both informative and a bit spirited!”

Spirited indeed. Let’s take a look at some of Steele’s qualifications.

“The problem that we have with this president is we don’t know him. He was not vetted, folks… He was not vetted, because the press fell in love with the black man running for the office.”

– Steele, forgetting President Obama actually won a national election.

My favorite:

Could you help a brother out? No more national conventions with 36 people of color in the room.”

– Steele, urging Florida Republicans to send delegates to the Republican National Convention who “look like Florida.”

Keith Olbermann leaves, Michael Steele joins the team — just another day in Bizarro World. Maybe Harold Camping was correct.

Maria Shriver unknowingly praised Mildred Baena for her strength as a single mother in old family video obtained by Entertainment Tonight.
You can't feel anything but sympathy for Maria Shriver after reading this...

LOS ANGELES - A clueless Maria Shriver lavished praise on her husband's beaming baby mama in 2001 as her cheating hubby nodded in agreement, new video obtained by Entertainment Tonight reveals.

"How proud we are of her, being a single mother (of) five kids," Shriver told a group of fellow guests at a quinceanera party honoring the mistresses' niece.

Housekeeper Mildred Baena, the woman who delivered Schwarzenegger's love child just one week after Shriver gave birth to her youngest son Christopher in 1997, accepted the accolades as she stood beside the two-timing "Terminator" star.

"Five kids, raising all of them, putting food on the table, keeping her job 10 years, showing up day in and day out," Shriver continued, clearly unaware that the youngest of the brood belonged to her husband.

"(She's) doing an incredible job," Schwarzenegger chimed in.

Video from the family celebration aired Monday showed Schwarzenegger, Shriver and their two daughters receiving communion during the quinceanera mass and their oldest son Patrick escorting the love child to the alter for a blessing.

The blond-tressed boy, then about 4 years old, danced and smiled in a tiny tuxedo in footage from the after-party obtained by ET's sister show The Insider.

A relative told ET that contrary to an earlier report, Schwarzenegger did not pay for the extravagant coming of age party. He added that the boy grew up thinking his dad was Baena's ex-husband, the man listed on his birth certificate.

Mildred Baena, 50, has been in hiding with the boy since her stunning secret and Schwarzenegger's breathtaking betrayal made front page news last week.

Schwarzenegger said in a statement that he "told" Shriver about the dalliance after leaving the governor's office last January, but Shriver reportedly acted on her own suspicions and got a confession by confronting the trusted household staffer, RadarOnline reported last week.

Kola Boof, Mistress of Osama bin Laden, Speaks

  • Parent Category: News
  • Published on Monday, May 16 2011 18:08
  • Written by Ms. G. Parris

Kola Boof is a figure who has been in the internationally popular news media headlines many times but who still remains a mystery to many. It was only when the Egyptian/Sudanese award-winning novelist, poet, television writer and activist spoke openly and candidly about her love affair with terrorist Osama bin Laden that she gained the most notoriety. A few years ago, she published a book titled “Diary of a Lost Girl: The Autobiography of Kola Boof” in which she claims that though her relationship with bin Laden began after he met her at a restaurant and later raped her the first night they met, she carried on a lengthy affair with him, becoming a trusted guard over his soldiers and accompanied him on many personal and professional trips.

With the recent death of bin Laden, to whom she affectionately calls “Somi,” Kola took to The Daily Voice to share her thoughts on the man she calls “a monster, a genius, a poet, a racist woman-basher and a very passionate, deeply sensitive confused being.” She speaks candidly on one of the most elusive men in world history, her relationship with his “head wife,” and being vilified by the American press; while claiming that though she was the first to give facts about bin Laden such as his men using cell phones, his marijuana gardens and obsession with Western culture (including his obsession with Whitney Houston), she was ignored and now people are finding out that they were true.

She ends the lengthy piece with, “In Any Mansion…It is the Maids and The Whores That Know The Most.”

I just saw myself on the cover of the National Enquirer. It says “Exclusive Interview with Bin Laden’s Mistress”–but I’ve never given an interview to the National Enquirer; I have never in my life spoken to anyone at that magazine. In fact, up to this point, I have not given anyone anywhere an interview regarding my feelings on Osama Bin Laden’s death.

A week ago, my favorite television news anchor Rachel Maddow (MSNBC) stated that I was Somi’s “ex-wife” (because members of the Sudanese government authored a book claiming this). In Los Angeles, one of the top Black stations reported that because I tweeted about Osama’s demise two days before he died; I must be working for the CIA and was aware he was about to be killed. The cover of the National Enquirer claims that I was kept chained in Osama’s compound. None of this is true.

At this moment, I am embroiled in a serious matter that includes confrontations with Osama’s lead wife Najwa over possible monies that were left to me. I will get to that in a moment, but first to make it clear how I feel about Osama’s death and to make it clear why I haven’t felt like talking about it yet, here’s the Official Statement I gave the night Osama died:

“I rarely ever talk about Somi, but for the last two days on Twitter, something
came over me and I did nothing but Tweet about him.

Now I know why.

At last….I forgive Somi for everything he did to me and for all that I witnessed. I set him free and I dream for him to be healed.

My greatest sympathy is with his mother, Hamida, the only person in that family who is willing to hear from me. One mother to another, I close my eyes and embrace her with so much compassion.

I feel that no one has more accurately and fairly characterized her son than I have. I knew him to be a monster, a genius, a poet, a racist woman-basher and a very passionate, deeply sensitive confused being.

Like all of us, he was somebody’s child.

I am not God, so I leave him to whatever comes next. I still have his poems and each year they have a different meaning. But now the papers are cool to the touch. I feel many things…things that people would not understand…I look at the gray hair I have…and all I can tell you is this….

Usama, Usama, Usama–Peace.”

I think this statement spoken in my own voice reveals a lot for those who have intellect and can understand that the “Monster” Bin Laden was a real multi-dimensional person for those who knew him; not a media contrived cartoon. I have been greatly demeaned and disrespected by the U.S. press regarding my affiliation with him and I would like to say one thing straight out–Ninety percept of the media’s problem with me is that I’m a Black Woman who looks Black and not mixed. It has been said to my face. Connie Chung and her producers at CNN asked me point blank, “Why would a man of Bin Laden’s wealth and stature have a black mistress?”

Exotic deceitful monikers like ‘sex slave’ and ‘chained woman’ are applied to my image but were never applied to Patti Hearst–who was held against her will for more than a year and had sex trains with the nine Black men holding her–yet was not given a single exotic title. And unlike the garden variety White public mistress (Monica Lewinsky, Camilla Parker Bowles, etc.), my word alone nor my stature as a strong African novelist, activist and poet is enough to accrue common respectful treatment towards my person or my image. Extraordinarily literate facts and information I wrote about Osama years ago, things that could have helped them find Osama, are ignored as they focus on tabloid-like single sentences from my memoir (Osama lusted for Whitney Houston!; he was a Pot head). It was me, after all, who said ten years ago that Osama’s guards used cell phones (I was crucified by Peter Bergen for that; though they discovered last week that it’s true). It was me who reported ten years ago about Osama inventing the “kidney dialysis myth”–me who reported on his marijuana gardens and his obsession with Western culture. It was me who first wrote about his hatred for Sadaam Hussein.

Male journalists like Morgan Spurlock (who says he laughed about my rape) and supposed Bin Laden expert Peter Bergen (whose published facts have now been proven to be less accurate than mine) discuss me as though I’m a deceased taxi dancer or a maid who stole coins from their nightstand. Sadly, because Black Americans can’t decipher anything until White people confirm and approve it for them–I have been just as unfairly treated by Black journalists and so called Black academics and intellectuals. Which makes me shudder to think what would have happened to Thomas Jefferson’s slave Sally Hemmings had she dared write in her own words about her affair with the President of the United States. How would her claims of child rape turned to a forced long term relationship to eventual love been received by her own people?

Sally Hemmings was twelve years old when she gave birth to President Thomas Jefferson’s son, Thomas Jefferson Jr. He was in his fifties (I’ve since learned that the majority of Black American slave women got their first rapes between the ages of nine and thirteen and were freely raped by both White masters and fellow Black male slaves). As I well know, and share with Sally Hemmings–just because someone rapes you doesn’t mean you don’t go on to have a deep relationship with that person.

Osama raped me the first night we met. But out of my fear and determination to survive we became comrades; lovers; we wrote poetry together, I did his hair, I cooked for him, he gave me jewels and money; sent me to Milan on shopping sprees; buried one of his guards that I killed and made it so I only did one night in jail. Living at La Maison Arabe was hardly the life of a slave–I wasn’t in chains, honey. I supervised Osama’s men despite not being allowed to leave Osama. And let’s not forget that half the wives of Arab rich men live that exact same way–many are married against their will, fathers give away daughters, women are snatched off the streets. Women had no rights in the Arab Muslim world when I was there modeling, acting and “hostessing.”

It hurts to have so much valuable information; so much intelligence and to be so truthful and articulate–yet have “white powerful news controllers” decide that you’re not the right image for what they’d like to promote. Therefore, part of history is always missing.

Osama’s wife, Najwa Bin Laden, who wrote so snidely about me in her memoir a few years ago is now forced, at last, to recognize me. I’m sure she’d rather have me killed than see me collect money from her husband. According to her I was Somi’s “abeed lan sharmuta” (n***er slave whore). But that’s alright. I’m the one he kept for pleasure and not mere Islamic duty–as she well knows and sleeps alone with–and always slept alone with. Pitiful head covered door mat jockey.

The rank ignorant pettiness (well Kola’s not pretty enough!) and the treatment my story and my personhood have received shows you exactly why the Americans couldn’t find Osama for more than a decade. It shows you why Peter Bergen in all his almighty “million dollar advance” rhetoric could never locate Osama but had to degrade and slander me to protect the credibility of his own toilet-read tomes. And it shows most of all–that you can’t keep a good woman down. I was not the one who revealed that I’d been with Somi. The London Guardian newspaper started it all; I originally denied the story out of embarrassment and then the U.S. Homeland Security (more like “Gangland Security”) forced me to admit to it. From then on, I was trapped in a maze of defending my reputation and my personhood. And so the tragedy of my life is that I have told nothing but truth…yet the truth did not set me free.

My one revenge is that I’m not going anywhere. I think the Americans have noticed that by now. And I leave you with this bit of common sense and mother wit–”In any mansion…it’s the maids and the whores…who know the most.” You can’t stop what’s real.

Trump Will Not Run For President in 2012

  • Parent Category: News
  • Published on Monday, May 16 2011 15:03
  • Written by Ms. G. Parris

Real estate mogul Donald Trump will not be a candidate for president in 2012.

The New York businessman bounded onto the scene with explosive rhetoric, catering to the fringe "birther" movement, raising questions about President Obama's place of birth, as well as the president's record as a student. (For the record, Obama was born in Hawaii and graduated magna cum laude from Harvard and served as editor of the Harvard Law Review.)

When the president released his long-form birth certificate, Trump took a measure of credit.

Trump rocketed to near the top of national polls and even polled well in a few surveys in New Hampshire. But much of the air was taken out of any potential Trump campaign, when Obama derided him as a "carnival barker," and then (along with comedian Seth Myers) skewered Trump at the White House Correspondents Dinner.

"Donald Trump said that he was running for president as a Republican," Myers said. "That's funny, because I thought he was running as a joke."

That may be, but in the March NBC/WSJ poll, Trump was second only to Mitt Romney in the race for the GOP presidential nomination. He pulled in 17% of the vote, tied with Mike Huckabee. Romney led the field with 21%, Newt Gingrich got 11%, Sarah Palin 10%.

What is notable in all this is that the people who pulled in almost half -- 44% -- of support from Republicans in that poll won't likely be running. Huckabee said Saturday night he's out; Trump said so today; and Palin is thought to be unlikely to launch a bid.

That said, national polls don't mean much when it comes to presidential politics. Rudy Giuliani, for example, led in most national polls on the GOP side this time in 2007. They're just a small measure of the energy and buzz around a candidate.

This is the third time Trump flirted with a presidential bid -- once in 1987 and then in 2000. Trump contended in a 2000 George magazine piece, “I’m the only one who makes money when he runs.”

But his business interests were likely at the center of all this. "Celebrity Apprentice" was renewed for next season on NBC, and Trump had to decide if he was going to be back as its host or run for president.

It's not clear, however, what damage may have been done to his show or business interests because of the politics he played. His "birther" statements and his questioning of Obama's prowess in the classroom angered many African Americans. Before he went full bore on the "birther" issue, African Americans had a favorable opinion of Trump in the February NBC/WSJ poll.

Trump's ratings took a dive, according to The Atlantic's Joshua Green, and Groupon pulled its ads from "Celebrity Apprentice."

Of course, most observers never thought Trump would run, because of the requirement that candidates file a financial disclosure form.

Here's the full statement below. More to come.

For Immediate Release:

New York, New York: May 16, 2011

After considerable deliberation and reflection, I have decided not to pursue the office of the Presidency. This decision does not come easily or without regret; especially when my potential candidacy continues to be validated by ranking at the top of the Republican contenders in polls across the country. I maintain the strong conviction that if I were to run, I would be able to win the primary and ultimately, the general election. I have spent the past several months unofficially campaigning and recognize that running for public office cannot be done half heartedly. Ultimately, however, business is my greatest passion and I am not ready to leave the private sector.

I want to personally thank the millions of Americans who have joined the various Trump grassroots movements and written me letters and e-mails encouraging me to run. My gratitude for your faith and trust in me could never be expressed properly in words. So, I make you this promise: that I will continue to voice my opinions loudly and help to shape our politician's thoughts.

My ability to bring important economic and foreign policy issues to the forefront of the national dialogue is perhaps my greatest asset and one of the most valuable services I can provide to this country. I will continue to push our President and the country's policy makers to address the dire challenges arising from our unsustainable debt structure and increasing lack of global competitiveness. Issues, including getting tough on China and other countries that are methodically and systematically taking advantage of the United States, were seldom mentioned before I brought them to the forefront of the country's conversation.

They are now being debated vigorously. I will also continue to push for job creation, an initiative that should be this country's top priority and something that I know a lot about. I will not shy away from expressing the opinions that so many of you share yet don't have a medium through which to articulate.

I look forward to supporting the candidate who is the most qualified to help us tackle our country's most important issues and am hopeful that, when this person emerges, he or she will have the courage to take on the challenges of the Office and be the agent of change that this country so desperately needs.

Thank you and God Bless America!

Rahm Emanuel Sworn In As Chicago's 46th Mayor

The sun shone, the choirs sang, school children filled the fields of Millennium Park and a Who’s Who of local and national politicians turned out as Rahm Emanuel was sworn in as Chicago’s 46th mayor just before 11:30 a.m. Monday.

“Today, more than any other time in our history, more than any other place in our country, the city of Chicago is ready for change,” Emanuel said after welcoming the dignitaries and the crowd.“

As your new mayor, it is an honor to fight for the change we need and a privilege to lead the city we love,” Emanuel said.

“We have much to do, but we should first acknowledge how far we have come.

“A generation ago, people were writing Chicago off as a dying city. They said our downtown was failing, our neighborhoods were unlivable, our schools were the worst in the nation, and our politics had become so divisive we were referred to as Beirut on the Lake.

“When Richard M. Daley took office as mayor 22 years ago, he challenged all of us to lower our voices and raise our sights. Chicago is a different city today than the one Mayor Daley inherited, thanks to all he did. This magnificent place where we gather today is a living symbol of that transformation,” Emanuel said.

“We are a much greater city because of the lifetime of service that Mayor Daley and First Lady Maggie Daley have given us.

“Nobody ever loved Chicago more or served it better than Richard Daley.

“Now, Mr. Mayor, and forevermore, Chicago loves you back,” Emanuel said as the crowd cheered.

“I have big shoes to fill. And I could not have taken on this challenge without Amy, my first love and our new First Lady, and our children, Zacharias, Ilana, and Leah.

“And I want to thank my parents, who gave me the opportunity to get a good education and whose values have guided me through life.

“I also want to thank President Obama, who turned our nation around and who loves Chicago so much, he understood why I wanted to come home to get our city moving again.”

In his speech, Emanuel touched on improving schools, gets the city’s finances in order and slowing crime.

“Stronger schools. Safer streets. An affordable and effective government. Good-paying jobs. These are the fundamental challenges confronting our city,” Emanuel said. “If we can get these things right, nothing can stop Chicago. And people will come to see a city on the move.

Before the ceremony began, Emanuel’s proud parents could hardly put their pride into words.

“Do you really have to ask, I mean, are my feet touching the ground?” Marsha Emanuel said. “Wait a minute — let me look. I think they are. I’m speechless, ecstatically speechless.”

Her husband, Benjamin, agreed he was excited. They said they always thought all three of their sons would go on to great things.

And on their son being Chicago’s first Jewish mayor?

“I’m going to start crying,” Marsha Emanuel said. “It is awesome my dear, unexplainable. This is an honor for the people; an honor for us; an honor for the whole culture.”

When Mayor Daley and his wife, Maggie, were announced to the crowd at 10:45, a huge roar went up. Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, also got big cheers. They arrived by motorcade — via the Kennedy Expy. — not long before they were announced. The Bidens sat between the Daleys and the Emanuels — Rahm and wife, Amy Rule, and their three kids.

When Emanuel takes the podium, he will brace people for cuts, saying: “I have been clear about the hard truths and tough choices we face. We simply can’t afford the size of city government that we had in the past.”

Emanuel’s replacement as chief of staff to President Obama, Bill Daley, called it “a terrific day for the city: “He’s smart. I know his toughness. It’s tough, but he’ll do a great job.”

Cardinal Francis George delivered the invocation just before 11 a.m. New City Clerk Susana Mendoza was then sworn in by Illinois Supreme Court Justice Anne Burke at 11.

Mendoza, in turn, swore in the aldermen who will make up the City Council.

“Congratulations, aldermen,” she told them before taking a roll call.

After a poem by Innovations High School senior Chanel Sosa, City Treasurer Stephanie D. Neeley was sworn in for a second term.

Pastor Charles Jenkins of the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church then took the podium, offering a rousing prayer with a theme of “One City.” He even invoked the Bulls, drawing cheers and laughs as he asked for guidance for them in their ongoing series against the Miami Heat.

“Mr. Mayor, we go forward with you!” Jenkins shouted. “God Bless Chicago.”

Other dignitaries attending include Gov. Quinn, Lt. Gov. Sheila Simon and former Mayor Jane Byrne, a political outcast during the Daley administration.

Emanuel — the former Congressman from the Northwest Side and former White House chief of staff to President Obama — will be the first new mayor in 22 years. Elected in February, he succeeds the only mayor a whole generation of Chicagoans has ever known. Daley didn’t seek reelection.

Biden’s attendance is testament, in part, to Emanuel’s high profile in Washington, where he worked until October. He quit as Obama’s top aide to come back to Chicago to run for mayor.

“I’m glad he’s decided to come and represent the administration, and I’m also glad on a personal level because of our friendship,” Emanuel said last week.

Emanuel inherits a city with big money problems. Not only has Emanuel’s transition team predicted a $700 million budget shortfall next year, but thanks to some controversial decisions by Daley — most notably the push to privatize parking meters — he has limited avenues to find funds to improve schools and repair the city’s aging infrastructure.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner said he is not worried about Emanuel being able to tackle the city’s $700 million deficit: “Rahm is awesome, awesomely strong.”

Even the man who leads the city’s garbagemen whose ranks Emanuel has pledged to shrink we here, expressing optimism.

“He’s willing to sit down with us and I’m looking forward to it,” said Lou Phillips, business manager of Laborers Union Local 1001. “It opens a lot of doors and opportunities to sit down and work with him. I’m not worried about losing jobs. We can come to a happy medium and everybody can work together.”

Can Chicago’s 3-to-a-truck garbagemen really compete with the private sector?

“Definitely,” Phillips said. “There’s a gold pot at the end of the rainbow in the recycling itself.” From the $3 million the city currently makes on recyclables, Phillips think his members can make $12 million, he said. “I think we can do it if not cheaper the same price.”

Omarion Tries His Hand at Aaliyah's "One In A Million"

Following the Dream's remake, Omarion decided to take on the late, great Aaliyah's hit "One In A Million".

This latest version appears on the ex-B2kers new mixtape The Awakening which dropped yesterday and is hosted by Atlanta's DJ Drama.

In his re-make intro to the classic song, Omarion says, “Paying homage like we should, we love you Aaliyah!”

I think the Dream stayed purer to the song than Omarion, and as far as Omarion's version goes, some things are better left alone.  Just my humble opinion.

Don't take my word for it.  Take a listen here, and judge for yourself.

Luke Campbell and Others Shut Out of Spanish-Only Mayoral Debate

Luke Cambell: Mayor of Miami?

As former rapper Luke Campbell continues on his campaign to become the mayor of Miami, he is unwittingly coming up against cultural tides that will affect the political future of all African-Americans. A recent mayoral debate for candidates in the Miami race was held at the publicly-funded Florida International University — but it was restricted to Spanish-speaking candidates only. The result? Only four out of the 11 people running were invited, all of Latino descent. In addition to Campbell, a second African-American candidate, Roosevelt Bradley, was kept out of the debate for racial reasons alone. Both black contenders complained of these shenanigans:

Speaking to CBS Miami, Luther Campbell – a former rap star and African American candidate for mayor – said he was appalled at what he called a ‘Cuban-only forum’.

He said: ‘The university is having a Cuban-only forum, which is wrong to the students, because the students are from all different races and all different cultures and all the students don’t speak only Spanish.’

Roosevelt Bradley, another black candidate, said  he was ‘outraged’ that the publicly funded university allowed what he called a ‘polarising and divisive event’ to be held on the campus.

He said: ‘This turns the clock back 50 years on race and ethnic relations.’

The university claims it was not involved in the organization of the event, which was sponsored by Spanish language station Univision. Students of all races met this abdication of responsibility with anger at this act of discrimination. But this type of focus on the Latino community over others could be the wave of the future.

According to The Daily Mail, some analysts see this event as one of the first signs that African-Americans must face this fact — we are no longer the dominant minority. A recent report on PBS discussed explanatory trends revealed by recent census data:

Latinos made up more than half of the population growth, most rapidly in the South. Today, one of every six Americans, about 50 million people, is Hispanic… Many of the cities with the largest African-American populations, including Chicago and Detroit, saw declines, as residents moved to suburbs and to the South…

As these cities depopulate of their traditional African-American constituency, we’re seeing that that culture and that that political power that they had been able to build up over the years since the great migration is now being dispersed. And that’s something that we will be observing in the next few years, as well, and decades.

What does this mean? The explosion of the Latino community nation-wide combined with the dispersion of the African-American community away from cities spells the end of our power as a unified voting block in local politics. The former Luke Skyywalker might have been dealt a discriminatory blow in the Miami race for mayor, but blacks in general might be in for a shock in the coming years. African-American candidates and constituents might consistently fail to receive the respect that we are accustomed to as a formerly commanding voting block.

The obvious solution to this issue is to learn to partner more with the Latino community in order to get our mutual needs met as people of color with many similar social perspectives. We saw the possibility of such a coalition take shape when the race-baiting “show me your papers” programs in Arizona spawned national outrage. Since then, the idea of a black-Latino coalition has largely fizzled.

Is this something you see as a possibility for us moving forward? Politics has created stranger bedfellows. If we don’t learn to work with other groups on the local level we might get left out of more political discussions, just like Luke. Giving up our identity as the most powerful minority is essential to our maintaining political power in the 21st century.

Robo-Geisha DVD Cover

This movie is kind of like "RoboCop" meets "Memoirs of a Geisha" meets "Masters of Horror: Takashi Miike: Imprint".

I saw this movie at a film festival.  It was nice to be surrounded by like minded people who enjoy these types of films.  I don't know where else I can see a movie with a breast gun, butt blades, bleeding buildings, tempura shrimp eyes, steel factory zord controlled by a full body mimic interface, and everybody gets it.  That is just a small taste of the kinds of hilarity you will find in this movie.

Final thoughts: As with most action movies there is back story, which contains sibling rivalry, revenge, and other assorted drama so it might actually make a good date movie.

Shaolin Vs Evil Dead: Ultimate Power DVD CoverI don't know what those guys where thinking, but this movie is more like a prequel then a part two.  I can understand they wanted to provide some additional back story, but this is just ridiculous.  This entire movie takes place before the first movie.  This movie never goes to "present time" or even wraps up one loose end from the first movie!  Instead of getting a part two continuing our story we get a whole new story that has nothing to do with the first movie.  I would have been much happier if they would have continued where the first movie left off, have the "Master" tell all the underlings the back-story, and then wrapped things up.

Final thoughts: Really not cool.  I really wanted to see the movie that was promised at the end of the first movie.  Those actions sequences looked pretty cool.

Rating: CoolCool1/2

Note: This is only 1/2 of the story. The other 1/2 of the story began in the movie entitled Shaolin Vs Evil Dead.<

Golden State Warrior's Baller Cut By Estranged Wife

Over the past few weeks a disturbing trend of athletes being assaulted by their significant others has emerged. Dolphins receiver Brandon Marshall was allegedly stabbed by his wife. Likewise Broncos defensive end Jason Hunter, by a girlfriend, according to Detroit police.

Now Golden State Warriors guard Charlie Bell — who was a star on Michigan State’s Final Four champions of 2000 — makes it a trend.

His estranged wife Kenya Bell — Miss Michigan USA in 2001 — was released from jail yesterday in the Flint area after being charged with assaulting Bell with a box cutter.

Bell, who played in three Final Fours and was the Spartans’ four-time defensive player of the year, downplayed the incident on Twitter, writing, “I’m fine. I didn’t get stabbed. LOL.”

That’s in keeping with Bell’s upbeat nature. While with the Milwaukee Bucks he made a series of “Hey Charlie, do my job” videos in which he took on ordinary jobs for a day. He’s also gained notice for his website, where he’s posted videos on such topics as hazing rookies.

Playerswives.com says the former Kenya Howard has modeled in ad campaigns for Ford and Bally’s. CBS Detroit posted her booking photo.

I wonder what the box cutter beauty queen's reason for cutting Bell was...

Five Common Condom Mistakes Men Make

  • Parent Category: Love/Relationships
  • Published on Tuesday, May 03 2011 13:26
  • Written by Ms. G. Parris

So you think you've putting on that condom correctly all this time.  Well guess what...according to Canadian researchers, ninety-four percent of all men make at least one error before they get down to business!

Here are the top 5 mistakes that men made during the last time that they had sex with a condom:

1. You’re not using lubricants.
Wearing a condom increases friction during sex, which can make you feel dry and uncomfortable, says study co-author Robin Milhausen, Ph.D. Water-based lubes, like KY Jelly, can make the rubber more slippery, so the sex feels natural. Still, nearly 63 percent of all the men in the study didn’t use a lubricant at all, and another 2 percent used an oil-based kind. (For the record, stick to the water lubes—oil varieties are more likely to cause breakage). For more tips on how to use lube, read Slippery When Wet.

2. You’re not letting out the air.
If the tip of your condom resembles a big light bulb, you have a problem. “Having air in the condom puts pressure on the latex, which increases your chances of breakage during intercourse,” says Milhausen. In the study, around 37 percent of men didn’t squeeze out the air. Maybe we’re just too excited…?

3. The condom didn’t feel right.
One in three men said that they felt less pleasure and sensation. Plus, it felt unnatural and uncomfortable. (To be fair, it is a condom, after all. Herpes is even less comfortable.) Here’s how to make the best of it: Milhausen recommends using a water-based lubricant on the outside and inside of the condom. “It will allow the condom to move freely around your penis, which feels more natural.” She recommends the new
Trojan Ecstasy, which fits tight at the base but flares throughout the body of the condom.

4. You’re not checking for damage.
Sometimes, condoms become broken during storage, says Milhausen. That, and they can be ripped during your haste to open the wrapper. “Make sure it isn’t dry, grainy, or stiff when you take it out,” she says.

5. You’re putting it on too late.
Nearly 23 percent of men penetrated before they put on a condom. “People can get caught up in the moment and underestimate their risk,” says Milhausen. “They might think they’re doing a good thing by wearing a condom at all.” Remember: Even a few seconds of unprotected sex puts you at risk for
STDs. If you’re transmitting fluids, you need to wrap it up.

According to TMZ reports:

Even Donald Trump’s gotta give credit where credit is due … and moments ago, he cyber-congratulated President Obama for “a job very well done.”

Trump — who was just shredded by Obama at the White House Correspondents dinner — just issued a statement on Twitter saying, “I want to personally congratulate President Obama and the men and women of the Armed Forces for a job very well done.”

He added, “I am so proud to see Americans standing shoulder to shoulder, waving the American flag in celebration of this great victory.”

Trump concluded, “We should spend the next several days not debating party politics, but in remembrance of those who lost their lives on 9/11 and those fighting for our freedom. God Bless America.”

8 awkward sex mishaps and how to handle them!

I know it's been a while since I posted anything here, but I came across a very interesting article in Madame Noire that I just had to share and elaborate on. The site and the article gives you 8 scenarios that if they happened during sex it may get a little weird. So I'm going to share a few and tell you what I think of them.

8. Queefing: If you don't know what queefing is then let me hip you to it. Have you ever been in doggy style (although it can happen in any position) and you heard what sounded as if you had passed gas, but it came from your vagina? That's considered queefing or what people in less classy settings call a p*ssy fart. I agree with them on this one. It can be a little awkward, but most guys like it and don't pay any attention to it anyway. It may be you need a little more lubrication so like Madame Noire suggested keep some KY handy!

7. Bleeding: This is one of the worst things that can happen during sex, if you're not a virgin! It could be because your time of the month came earlier than you expected or it could be too much rough sex. If you find yourself bleeding during sex and you're having rough sex then that is a sign from your body that it's being abused.

6. Your gag reflexes gone wrong: All men like for their women to deep throat, but you have gag reflexes for a reason. They're there to let you know how far to the limit you can push it and if you're not one of those professionals who swallows dick for a living then you should stop when your reflexes tell you to. If not, you're likely to vomit on him and trust me, that is NOT a turn on!

5. He went in with a condom and came out without one: Oh lawdy! This is the one thing that you don't want to happen. First off, you are going to worry about if you can get the condom out then you will worry about if you're going to catch a STD. So now you're hoping, wishing. and praying your partner was telling the truth about being clean and that he hasn't been cheating. Now, all you have left to worry about is if you will get pregnant. So while you're asking him to stick some fingers inside of you to help you get the condom out, you have all of this other stuff to worry about.

I gave you four things to think about. You can go here to get the rest!Seriously Sensual<

Osama Bin Laden dead!

As you all may know, last night President Obama announced to the world that the US had found and killed the mastermind behind the September 11 attacks on the US. The president announced to the nation that "justice has been done" in the death of Osama Bin Laden. A small team of Americans carried out the operation to kill bin Laden in Pakistan. Many are in fear that a retaliation attack will happen on US soil and US ally soil.

Just to give you all a recap of what the Presidents exact words were last night:

THE PRESIDENT: Good evening. Tonight, I can report to the American people and to the world that the United States has conducted an operation that killed Osama bin Laden, the leader of al Qaeda, and a terrorist who’s responsible for the murder of thousands of innocent men, women, and children.

It was nearly 10 years ago that a bright September day was darkened by the worst attack on the American people in our history. The images of 9/11 are seared into our national memory -- hijacked planes cutting through a cloudless September sky; the Twin Towers collapsing to the ground; black smoke billowing up from the Pentagon; the wreckage of Flight 93 in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, where the actions of heroic citizens saved even more heartbreak and destruction.

And yet we know that the worst images are those that were unseen to the world. The empty seat at the dinner table. Children who were forced to grow up without their mother or their father. Parents who would never know the feeling of their child’s embrace. Nearly 3,000 citizens taken from us, leaving a gaping hole in our hearts.

On September 11, 2001, in our time of grief, the American people came together. We offered our neighbors a hand, and we offered the wounded our blood. We reaffirmed our ties to each other, and our love of community and country. On that day, no matter where we came from, what God we prayed to, or what race or ethnicity we were, we were united as one American family.

We were also united in our resolve to protect our nation and to bring those who committed this vicious attack to justice. We quickly learned that the 9/11 attacks were carried out by al Qaeda -- an organization headed by Osama bin Laden, which had openly declared war on the United States and was committed to killing innocents in our country and around the globe. And so we went to war against al Qaeda to protect our citizens, our friends, and our allies. Read the rest here!

After the President's speech there was joy and there was tension. Some were happy to hear the news and then you had the conspiracy theorists trying to put fear in the minds of other Americans. Then you had those who were and are simply afraid of the threat of retaliation. Check what an article on Yahoo News! had to say:

Osama bin Laden's death is a major blow to al Qaeda, counter-terror experts agree. And yet, in the short term, they caution that it could actually increase the threat of a domestic attack.

Interpol, the international police organization, today warned its member countries, including the United States, "to be on full alert" for attacks by Islamic terrorists looking to avenge the killing of the movement's long-time spiritual leader.

The U.S. government is said to have conveyed the same message internally. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) last night issued a preliminary "situational awareness alert," obtained by the AP, saying bin Laden's death could inspire retaliatory attacks from al Qaeda or its allies--or even from radicalized individuals in the United States.

But in a statement to the press, DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano said that although the department remains "at a heightened state of vigiliance," it doesn't plan to issue a broader security alert. Napolitano explained that DHS officials only approve that shift when "we have specific or credible information to convey to the American public."

Still, counter-terrorism experts see the possibility of an increased threat level in the immediate wake of bin Laden's death. "There is a window of vulnerability in the short term," Frank Cilluffo, a former special assistant for homeland security to President Bush who now runs George Washington University's Homeland Security Institute, told The Lookout in an interview. But he stressed that for several years, terror groups and individual actors have been trying to launch attacks on the United States--almost all unsuccessful--so bin Laden's death may not be a game changer.

Although we here are happy to hear of the capture of bin Laden, we also know this is only one major step in the fight against terrorism. It will always be around and we are thankful to the men and women that are abroad fighting for our freedom and our safety.Seriously Sensual<

L. Michelle WrightL. Michelle Wright and Charles W. Jones Jr. have written a candid, in-your face book that forces women to both examine and take accountability for the role they play in unhealthy relationships. For years, the blame has fallen solely on men’s shoulders by generalizing them as cheaters, liars, users, and abusers and have labeled a good majority of them as low-down dirty dogs. Now the truth is out--men only do what women allow. This book stems from the heart and mind of one woman who has grown weary of seeing others who allow themselves to be treated like trash by men who are not worthy of them. On the flip side, it also provides today’s male perspective about women who are "feeding the dogs" by being a "friend with benefits," sleeping with a married man, tolerating disrespect and abuse, or enabling men to give less than a woman deserves. Join us Saturday night at 8:00 pm EST as we get to know the woman behind the pen. Tell a friend to tell a friend to tell a friend about us and we will see you all Saturday night at 8!<
